Clean and Clear?

Clean and Clear™ is a liquid product manufactured by the fermentation process.  Starting with a basic ferment of kelp, malt, molasses, sugar and yeast, special additives are blended with the ferment to produce a balanced, non-ionic combination of enzymes and surfactants.  It has a number of unusual capabilities:

1. It will eliminate organic waste odors instantly.

2. It splits non-soluble fats, carbohydrates and proteins into water-soluble colloids, thereby eliminating build-up or flogging by organic debris.

3. It will remove blood and organic stain.

4. It will remove organic debris from stainless steel, tile and other surfaces.

5. It is non-toxic, non-acidic, non-caustic, non-ionic and biodegradable.  It is completely safe.

How It Works

    Removal of organic wastes from the evacuation system, from instruments and other surfaces is accomplished primarily by action of the surfactants.  De-odorizing and prevention of waste odors is by elimination of anaerobic bacterial action and instigation of aerobic bacterial action.  Liquefying of wastes in the collector trap or in a drain is accomplished by the catalytic action of specific enzymes (such as amylase, lactase, lipase and protease) and requires some dwell time.

Uses

    A simple, inexpensive preventative maintenance program, using just 3 ounces of Clean and Clear™ added to 1 gallon of lukewarm water, flushed through the evacuation system several times a week, will keep the entire system clean and odor-free.  All surfaces will be shiny-clean and debris will not cling to them.  The collector trap will remain clean and odorless.  With no clogging, plumbing expense and downtime are eliminated.

    Instruments tend to retain some tissue debris at places such as the swivel junction of scissor blades.  A few minutes after being immersed in a 10% solution of Clean and Clear™ added to lukewarm water, such debris is removed, preventing baked-on or built-up residues after sterilization.

    Clean and Clear™ works well with ultrasonic cleaning equipment in removing organic residues, but it will not remove dental materials or other non-organic matter.  It should not be used with a strong acid or alkali solution, as they will destroy its effectiveness.
